Privacy Policy
PlaylistGrab is built to work locally on your PC. This page explains exactly what data is involved when you use the app and this website.
What the app does on your PC
- Downloads, settings, and history are stored locally on your computer — they are not uploaded to us.
- When you activate a Pro license, the app sends your license key and a machine identifier (a hash that cannot identify you personally) to our activation service to validate the key. After activation, the app checks in occasionally for the same purpose.
- The optional extended engine (yt-dlp), if you install it from Settings, is downloaded directly from its official GitHub releases. That download is between your PC and GitHub.
What the website collects
- This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or marketing cookies.
- If you buy a license, checkout and payment are handled entirely by FastSpring, our authorized merchant of record. FastSpring collects the billing details needed to process your order and taxes under its own privacy policy; we receive only your email address and order reference so we can deliver your license key.
What we never collect
- We never see your card number or payment details.
- We never collect your downloaded files, your download URLs, or your browsing history.
- We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
Contact and changes
